Dean calls out #he doesn’t smoke- hasn’t since he was a teenager but he doesn’t know what else to do #the man turns and Dean shuffles forward awkwardly ignoring the pain shooting through his leg #I Don’t Smoke the man replies as he takes a step back off the ledge and Dean feels something tense inside him begin to uncoil even though it doesn’t matter he doesn’t care what this stranger does it’s nothing to Dean not now not when he doesn’t care about anything anymore #Me Neither Dean finds himself saying #But I Think It Would Piss Off The Nurses So I Might Start Up #Anything To Piss Off The Nurses the man replies with a vacant chuckle #I Don’t Think They Like Me Much #I Don’t Think They Like Anyone dean replies #But I Think I Saw An Unattended Cart Full of Pie A Few Floors Down Want to See How Many Slices We Can Steal? #I’ve Never Had Pie the man replies and Dean can see that underneath his wild brown hair he has the bluest eyes that Dean has ever seen blue like the ocean Dean has always imagined but has never reached #You Can’t Die Without Ever Having Pie Dean says #Okay the man agrees and limps across the roof to the door #Okay Dean says as they make their way inside
